As a weaker yen has pushed up the prices of raw materials, such as wheat and utility costs, sales must increase or at least be maintained for bread shops and manufacturers to survive, and many of them are proposing new ways of eating bread to attract more consumers.
YuaBread, which offers a delivery service of frozen bread, jointly developed with seven bakeries in Hokkaido and other areas bread that can be eaten cold after naturally defrosting.
