Elon Musk, chief executive officer of Tesla, SpaceX and X, arrived in Japan for an unexpected visit on Thursday, his first public trip to the country since 2014.
On Thursday night, Musk posted on his social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, that he had “just arrived in amazing Japan,” adding two Japanese flag emojis.
The purpose of his trip is not yet clear, but the space-loving billionaire later posted a series of video clips of the teamLab Planets art installation in Tokyo.
