This year, Expat Expo Tokyo 2024 will take place from Friday, Nov. 8, to Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center’s Hamamatsucho-Kan in the Tokyo Portcity Takeshiba building, a five-minute walk from Hamamatsucho Station.

The event will run concurrently with the fourth International Job Fair Tokyo and the second International Student School Fair.

All three events are organized by Innovent Inc., a company that organizes and operates trade shows, conferences and seminars.

This is a great opportunity for visitors to find helpful information, learn about useful services and obtain practical advice for daily living designed to make expatriate life in Japan more comfortable, convenient and fulfilling. Additionally, it is an opportunity for businesses that wish to promote and sell their products and services to international residents.

At the expo, the World Food Fair, where foreign embassies, restaurants and supermarkets will exhibit food and drinks, and the Expat Travel Fair, which sees municipality tourism associations, travel agencies and hotels participate, will be held.

Exhibitors include international schools, real estate firms, mobile communication companies, health care providers, administrative scriveners, lawyers, tax specialists and more. Visitors will also get opportunities to enjoy interesting cultural activities, including traditional pastimes and live entertainment. About 20 embassies will participate and introduce their cultures. Various workshops and contents are available in English for both adults and children to enjoy.

One of the events scheduled for the first time this year is a “Made in Japan” jewelry booth with an up to 90% discount.

The International Job Fair Tokyo is once again providing opportunities for residents mulling career moves and students seeking employment opportunities. A wide range of organizations will provide networking opportunities and employment advice.

Finally, the International Student School Fair will provide students a chance to meet with representatives of Japanese universities, graduate programs and vocational training schools and learn about the types of support available for individuals interested in studying in Japan.

Pre-registration is suggested, and registering for any single event allows one to participate in all of the events for free.
