The Japan Times has become a News2u Group firm to strengthen its presence in the rapidly changing media industry.
Following the transfer of 100 percent of The Japan Times’ shares on Tuesday from Nifco Inc. to News2u Holdings, Inc., whose group companies support a wide range of internet businesses, three new board members have joined our management team.
They are Chairperson and Publisher Minako Kambara Suematsu, who also serves as CEO of News2uHD, Director and Executive Editor Hiroyasu Mizuno and Corporate Auditor Kyoji Ozawa.
President Takeharu Tsutsumi and Managing Editor Sayuri Daimon will remain in their current positions.
The Japan Times, which celebrated its 120th anniversary in March, will continue to pursue the news “without fear or favor,” to provide insight on this country and the world, and to give a voice to people who need to be heard.
We appreciate your continued support.
