Snack maker Koikeya has created a bag of potato chips that are worthy of being eaten with one pinkie in the air.
According to the list of ingredients on its Truffe & Butter flavor chips, each pack includes real truffles, butter and even cream. The waffle ridges on the chips trap in the earthy flavor of the truffles and the sweetness of the butter, while the chips themselves are cut extra thick to accentuate the taste of potato. A cute cartoon chef on the back of the packaging recommends pairing them with a bowl of soup or stew for a cheap gourmet meal.
The chips are available now at convenience stores across the country at around ¥250 — a price that even the commoner can afford.
